Our History

Grapevine has been breaking the mould of traditional real estate in Ottawa since 1990. Originally a home based business, and the only of its kind at the time, Grapevine was Ottawa’s only alternative to selling a house with a real estate brokerage and incurring costly commission fees. We quickly became Ottawa’s “go-to” For Sale By Owner company and our listings made up approximately 20% of the Ottawa real estate market. Grapevine’s classic burgundy for sale signs flooded city streets. Changes to the real estate industry in 2010 made it possible for our clients to begin promoting their properties on MLS®, and eventually Grapevine transitioned into the full service brokerage we are today.

Remaining a locally owned and operated brokerage, Grapevine Realty continues to challenge traditional real estate models and charge our clients a fair fee for a high level of service. The real estate industry has evolved over the years; technologies have advanced, house prices have increased and the dated fee structures of the past simply do not align with the current real estate landscape.
